Microsoft has officially launched a unified Teams app after months of testing

The new app consolidates personal, professional, and educational Teams accounts into a single platform

Previously, users had to manage multiple Teams apps for different account types

The app allows easy switching between account types and guest sign-ins

It is available for Windows 11, Windows 10, and macOS

Users can choose any account when joining a meeting, regardless of their preferred account

The unified Teams app replaces the previous confusing setup of separate apps for personal and professional use

The app will be preinstalled with the Windows 11 2024 Update (version 24H2)

Existing Teams installations will automatically update to the new unified app

The app is also available for download from Microsoft's website
